Mark Adams President and Chief Executive Officer Mark joined the company in 2006 as the chief financial officer responsible for the company's financial operations and its business and operational planning functions. Prior to joining the company, he served as chief financial officer of Miller Zell and before that he served as chief financial officer for several technology companies, including Micron Optics and Melita International, where he guided the company through its initial public offering. Mark began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co.
Shannon McGuire Senior Vice President and General Manager Shannon joined the A.D.A.M. team in early 2007. Shannon came to A.D.A.M. with over 20 years of highly successful experience with electronic and print media products in the educational and institutional market segments. Prior to joining A.D.A.M., Ms. McGuire began her career with notable educational distributor Baker & Taylor. From there she went on to hold executive level sales and marketing positions with the leading online business information provider, Hoovers, and then as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the institutional sales channel at Ingram.
Maribel R. Brogden Education Product Development Manager Maribel joined the A.D.A.M. Education team in 2008. Maribel brings over seven years experience in product management and product development for continuing education and e-Learning courses for Nurses, Wound Care Specialists, Radiologic Technologists and Medical Coders. Prior to A.D.A.M., Ms. Brogden held the position of Director of Health Professionals with Elsevier Health Sciences, a leading provider of health science content.
Christina Carroll Education Inside Sales and Support Christina joined the A.D.A.M. Education team in June 2009. She comes to our organization with over 15 years of sales experience. Christina began her career with the American Red Cross Blood Services, managing a corporate program focused on many of Atlanta, Georgia’s largest companies. From there, she went on to an educational sales position with Elsevier focusing on allied health products. Prior to her current role, Christina held an executive sales position with a background screening company. She’s excited to be back in the educational market again.
Linda E. Leopard-Watson Director of Educational Sales Linda joined the A.D.A.M. Education team in 2007, bringing over 17 years of industry success serving higher education, libraries and government-funded agencies. She has held several key positions such as Regional Sales Manager of Ingram Institutional Sales and Director of Sales, North America, for Blackwell’s Book Services. Her role at Blackwell’s included an international scope with contractual negotiations for Asia, Australia and New Zealand combined with developing and driving revenue strategies for the UK and Latin American academic markets.
Sharon Baker-Harris Education Marketing Manager Sharon joined the A.D.A.M. Education team in March 2010. She brings over 15 years of trade and academic publishing experience in the area of marketing and sales. Before joining A.D.A.M. she held management positions at DK Publishing and Scholastic, Inc. Most recently, she served as Senior Sales and Marketing Manager for the American Foundation for the Blind, a national non-profit organization, where she managed the marketing, sales, circulation, and fulfillment operations.
Joshua Jackson Education Account Manager Joshua joined A.D.A.M. in February 2009, where he served as a client support specialist for the Benergy division. He then joined the Education team in March 2010 as account manager. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of customer accounts and provides client training for our online education resources. Previously, he worked for CareerBuilder in account management—training clients and working with the sales force to increase client usage. He is a recent recipient of an MBA degree from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University.
